Silk Velvet

This is a very special kind of silk material, giving the cloth the soft and wellknown texture.

To create Silk velvet, a combination of Viscose and Silk isused.

It can be handwashed and may be machine-dried on a low temperature.
The fibers will be raised and its original texture returned.

Ofcourse velvet is excellent in evening-dresses, jackets or cushions.

The deep colors can be achieved by spraying the silkdye on the velvet.
Due to the thickness of the material, it is neccessary to spray several layers of dye, until you have reached a glorious deep colour.

A special silkdye is being sold under the Swiss brand of "One."
This is a fiber-reactive dye, especially developed for silk velvet, dévorées and other silks.

Color depends on the type of fiber, and dry weight of the silk.
